Winter does not end the fishing season on Clarks Hill Lake. Colder water can concentrate bait and gamefish around channels, deep brush, standing timber, and other dependable structure.

A Focused Cold-Water Approach

Crappie trips may center on slower presentations around deep cover, while striped bass trips follow bait through the lake’s channels and open-water structure. Electronics and patient boat positioning are especially valuable when fish are grouped tightly.
