It was another great day on the water with Arnie and the crew, taking them out for a 6 HR Crappie Spring And Summer Crappie Fishing Trip on Clark's Hill Lake. April is prime time for crappie fishing around here, as the warming waters have the fish feeding actively and getting ready to spawn. We met up at 6:30 AM at the boat ramp, got the gear loaded, and headed out to start the day.

As soon as we started jigging and trolling around the submerged trees and brush piles, the action picked up. We were marking fish left and right on the electronics, and it wasn't long before the rods started bending. The group did a great job working the light tackle, and we started boating White Crappie and Black Crappie one after the other. When we found a good school, the bite was fast and furious, keeping us all busy. 

The fishing stayed strong all day, and we had a blast chasing those tasty, hard-fighting slabs. In between catching fish, we took in the beautiful spring scenery on the lake and swapped stories. It was a great day of crappie fishing on Clarks Hill Lake with Nathaniel! Despite the partly cloudy weather with some morning rain, we had a productive trip.

We focused on fishing techniques to target the crappie that were moving into the shallow waters to spawn. The conditions were a bit cool, but the crappie were biting. Nathaniel and I were able to catch some nice-sized crappie throughout the day.

While the weather wasn't perfect, the fishing was still quite good. We had an enjoyable time on the water, with Nathaniel eager to learn and try different tactics. It was a relaxed but successful outing.
